Sub Category[edit]
I was under the impression I already posted my question here, but I must have only hit preview before I shut down. In anycase should be divide up the binding rituals into two sub-categories. I was thinking it would be a good idea to have an attack sub-castegory and defense sub-category for attacking and defensive ritualist spirits respectively.~>Sins WDB 18:22, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- what about non attacking offensive rituals like destruction? limited case :) but something to consider... MrPaladin talk 18:27, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- What about expanding attacking to encompass all offensive? Plus, I don't think that all items in a category (rituals) need to be in a specific sub-category. --Freedom Bound 18:37, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe just change it to attacking and non-attacking then? Really there are two main types that are based on the spirit skinnings (with the anomaly of life).~>Sins WDB 19:34, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Check that... make two sub-categories called Attack and Support under binding rituals. I know the argument can be made that attacking spirits are supportive, but it's really the best distinction to be made between binding rituals.~>Sins WDB 02:27, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- Attacking spirits synergize with Painful Bond and Signet of Ghostly Might, Agony and Destruction don't. There's also several non-rituals skills which summon attacking spirits. If we create additional categories, I don't think we should remove anything from the current binding rituals category. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 07:19, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- They can still be called all at the same on the wiki through Binding Rituals even if they are sub-categorized under that category right? ~>Sins WDB 14:44, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- Also they could be called attacking and passive.~>Sins WDB 15:36, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- I don't see a problem with the categorization split. If anything it just makes it a bit easier to find what type of spirit you need. -- Wandering Traveler 05:23, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think that a category for skills which summon attacking spirits should be a subcategory of the rituals category, as it would miscategorize Anguished Was Lingwah, Signet of Spirits as rituals. Maybe they could be subcategories of a summoning skills category. A category for skills which summon passive spirits could be a a subcategory of the main rituals category without accuracy problems. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 05:08, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
