I've seen posts with questions and ideas about how the Hall of Monuments will work to transfer titles, armor, etc. from Guild Wars 1 to Guild War 2.
I also saw a post about bringing characters themselves from Guild Wars 1 to Guild War 2. While I'm all for starting new characters in a new game, I had an idea.
What if you could meet the ghosts of your Guild Wars 1 characters (or at least one of them) when you enter the Hall of Monuments in Guild Wars 2?
I imagine the encounter would go like this:
A character enters the Hall of Monuments,
A ghost materializes before the player and says:
"Welcome to the Hall of Monuments, I see you are a adventurer, when I lived I was adventurer myself. In fact these statues stand in tribute to my accomplishments. Strange, I feel a sort of kinship with you, even though I am long dead. I see you are in the midst a harrowing trial yourself. While I cannot fight alongside you, perhaps there is a way I can help you. I hereby bequeath with the teasures in this Hall to help you on your journey. I hope they serve well in your journeys as they served me in mine."
