The Concept[edit]
The concept is simple:
- When Guild Wars 2 is released your story begins. For some, it will be a new chapter in an ongoing adventure. For others, it will be the beginning of a new quest. No matter what race you will pick or what guild you will join, whether you choose PvE or PvP, whatever path you will take you will have a story to tell. One filled with tales of epic victories and tragic losses, tales of teamwork, tales of great humor and sorrow, tales of bravery. These are stories that will inspire, stories that will become legend. I envision a place where players can come together regardless of race, guild, or alliance and share their stories, a place called Tyrian Legends.
Tyrian Legends is the journey of how you arrived to where you are now, who you met along the way, the hardships, the turning points, the accomplishments. Tyrian Legends provides players with the opportunity to chronicle their own adventures and read those of others. It allows players to uniquely express their ordeals from their race, their guild, their point of view. At the same time, it is a means of unifying and strengthening players by providing a place where each player can share their stories, learn from one another, and grow together.
The Hiccups[edit]
I have been struggling with this for a while now; I have no concrete details in mind and I am unsure of how this would be implemented. I am not sure if this is the right place or even the right time. I understand that the Hall of Monuments is going to be linked to Guild Wars 2, but Tyrian Legends is a little more in-depth. I am not sure if it should be a part this wiki or the game itself as I am unaware of the capabilities of either. It may need to be its own thing, as in a website, a wiki, a forum, or a blog.
What I do know is that I am the LEAST likely candidate to lead something of this stature. I have only been playing the game since 2008 and I have yet to complete any of the original games or learn the whole story. At this point, anyone who is more qualified and willing to take lead and make this reality is more than welcome. I just enjoy playing the game and I enjoy the community as a whole.
The goal here is to give players the chance the voice themselves as they set out on their journeys through Guild Wars 2. My hope to create a place where players will have the opportunity to share stories known to the rest of the world. Tyrian Legends should be a place that motivates players to blaze their own paths.

I want to get a feel from the community, to see if it warrants any further attention. What do you think? Is it a good idea? Is it feasible? Would you take part in it? How would you develop it? Feel free to share your thoughts, suggestions, and criticisms.
Final Thoughts[edit]
Maybe this catches on or maybe it does not, maybe someone can take this to next level. Right now all I have is a vision and I am sharing it with you. Regardless of whether this legend ends here or becomes something bigger than you or I, my question to you and every other player will remain and hopefully inspire you as you make your journey through the next chapter in the Guild Wars saga: What will be your legend?
