It has always bugged me that henchmen are always dropping out of your party when you travel since the available line up changes so frequently, even when moving from mission to mission along the storyline, much less from continent to continent. This was partially fixed a while back, but still remains quite a nuisance. There are a few ways this could be fixed, at least that I've thought of so far:
- Replace all the henchmen with a universal set, maybe even the ones that are in the Guild Halls currently, this is quite an easy and broad fix, but might not work depending on campaign skill availability and whatnot.
- Related to above, and might require some henchmen changes, but preserves some hench-bar variation and unique henchmen (Brutus!). Instead of having a universal "set" of henchmen, connect related henchmen through their tag, so that when you move, you may have different NPCs, but they'll all perform the same roles.
- For example, let's say you have Mhenlo (Healer) in Tyria, and then you map to Cantha. Instead of having him dropped from your party, GW takes his "tag" or role as a healer henchmen and matches it with the equivalent role in the other continents, so you'd map into Kaineng with Sister Tai (also a healer) in your party instead.
- I can't recall my other idea at the moment, so I'll add it in later :P
