Feedback:User/Garandou/Use our other characters as Heroes/Companions in GW2

Instead of just providing developer designed companions to assist players in PvE. In addition, we can look into using our other characters (in the account) to act as our list of selectable companions.

This will allow each player to have the choice of using either the pre-designed companion (which could be story/area related) and/or those of their own design (looks/skills/equipment etc.)

If a player's account has say 3 characters created Dokk Small (Asuran Elementalist), Grum Pierceshot (Charr Ranger) and Fleur Foo (Sylvari Monk). He/she when playing Dokk Small (Asuran Ele) can pick Grum Pierceshot or Fleur Foo to use as companion(s) - when playing as Grum, then that player can pick Dokk/Fleur as companion(s) and so on. (ie. Different characters in your account can pair/form up a team - appearance/profession wise). (Note: a character will not have itself as a selectable companion)

These account-based companions will only copy/reference the name, gender, race, physical features (looks/height), profession and armor art of the character(s) they take reference from, they will not copy the equipment (weapons/offhands), armor runes/insignias, level, stats or skill bar though.

Their skills (skill bar) can be loaded individually as per Heroes in GW, using template system. This creates more versatility as a companion for players (the actual character may be using a bow, but it as a companion can be assisting one of your other characters using gun and a staff with another).

Equipment and armor insignia/runes can be as per GW Heroes system.

Character Remaking/Deletion:

Since these companion(s) draw reference from the characters created by the player in an account. When a player chooses to delete one of his/her characters, the corresponding companion in the other characters' list of selectable companions will be deleted as well. It will be replaced by a new companion with the name, gender, race, physical features and armor art of the newly created character (if he/she chooses to create another), else that selectable companion slot will be removed till a new character is created on that account.

In addition, the corresponding companion which is deleted will have all its equipment (weapon/off-hand), runes, insignias place into a temp-storage panel (similar to the panel that holds the loot that were not picked up at end of missions in GW).

Continuously deleting more than one character at a time will/may result in the temp-storage panel overflowing thus losing some/most of the equipment/runes/insignia held by the second/following deleted character's corresponding companion(s). Thus, before deletion of a character, it would be wise to advise players move the contents of the temp-storage panel on each remaining/existing character(s) on their account before deleting another character.

Overall, this allows players to indirectly design their own companions with flexibility in appearance and function (without needing to store extra information for new names, looks, profession, race for something that looks customised and unique) as well as reward them for getting/using more character slots and creating/playing more characters.
