Something to make life easier for the tireless spammers merchants who clog up the trade and open channels in Kamadan might be a noticeboard where people can write posts. It would be like the current chat window, but instead of having to spam your ad every 5 minutes, you can just put it on the board and go do other things (like actually play the game). Have different categories for the various things people post ads for: items for trade, services, guild recruiting, mission/questing etc.

By default the noticeboard would be persistent across different outposts, so you wouldn't need one guy spamming your guild recruiting ad in Kamadan and another one in LA, for example. However, you could choose to limit it only to the town you're in, so someone advertising a Consulate Docks run, say, could set their post to appear only to Kamadan. Your post would remain active for a specified time period, from a day up to a week perhaps, or until you take it down.

To stop people clogging up the board, limit it to one active post per account. There might need to be other safeguards, eg to discourage people posting joke ads, but I can't think of anything that would be a deal-breaker.

Linsey has indicated on her FAQ that an auction house won't be implemented, but hopefully this is a feasible alternative way to the same end: helping buyers get in touch with sellers and vice-versa.
