^Anyone^ Familiar with this type of Effect? Forget its actual details for a minute and consider its Coding potential instead. IE: the attribute limits it applies.
Now imagine that code being used instead to just apply diminishing strength of an attribute line for all party members when more than 3 members all have a certain amount of points in the same exact Attribute lines. Case in point, degenerate metas such as: A 6-necro party with all their points in DeathMagic & Soul Reaping. Or an 8-ShadowForm speed-clearing team with maxed out Shadow Arts.
Applying such a team-wide "softcap" (which might be enforced by hardcapping attribute totals) would still allow more flexibility than just telling people "You can't bring more than THIS MANY of each class" and would also close the loophole of players running those same exploits as /secondary professions.
