Presently, screenshots are only available in the .bmp and .jpg file formats, but default to low-quality lossy jpg. This can be overridden through the use of the -bmp command line switch, but that switch cannot be used while using programs such as TexMod. Although it is possible to overcome this by modifying the memory address that controls the screenshot format, this is a rather tedious process and due to changes in the way DirectX11 interacts with Windows 7, it is not possible to capture screenshots directly (pasting them into a program such as Paint or Photoshop). I would like to request the -bmp command line switch be removed or disabled, and a "Save Screenshots as .bmp" option be placed in the General section of the options menu. This will allow players to take lossless screenshots even while using TexMod or other programs. This suggestion can also be applied to GW2.
