This suggestion will both be about Unique item Uniqueness, and crafting your own weapons.

In Guild Wars 1, I haven't been able to help but notice..... Unique items are NOT unique. I've seen 5 people selling Kole's Torment in a single town, so why exactly are they called "Unique"?

In Guild Wars 2, I'd like to see actually "Unique" items, such as a Scepter of Orr that's a one-of-a-kind, other unique items that are all one of a kind, but with modifications that may not be unique to the single weapon. Also, I think that with this system of "Unique" items, there should be a Blacksmithing skill where you can create a weapon of your own design, modify it, give it its' own name (I'd like Bloodletter), and make your own inscription for it depending all upon your Blacksmithing skill. Also, I think that if you could use a similar window such as the Dye or Cape window in GW 1, it would be great. Also, I think that you should be able to draw where it should be able to be dyed, how the dye applies, etc depending upon your blacksmith skill. So with this system, instead of the world getting full of "Unique" items, you get a world which supplies its' own unique items, aside from extremely unique, powerful items, such as maybe the Scepter of Orr, the Staff of the Mists, or Dhuum's Soul Reaper.

Also, as a way for "Secondary Skills" such as Blacksmithing, I suggest a system of "Talent Points", which are similar to attributes, except, when you spend them, you cannot switch them around.
