Okay, back to the serious suggestions now.
I know that when I have to pay money every time I want to use the waypoint system, my OCD will drive me crazy.
I propose that there be a sort of minor rewards system for using the waypoint system.
You could either get a reward for every 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500, or 1000 trips. The rewards could include: cash back (~20% of the cost put into all of the trips), karma, semi-rare weapons, miniatures (rare, but common as minis), XP, presents, points or tokens (redeemable at certain vendors), dye sets, recipes, crafting materials, salvage kits, skill points (if they exist), a title (maybe just display total travels instead of tiers), etc.
It could be one set reward for all trips, a chance of getting any of the above, or progressive (i.e. you get 40 bronze your first 100 trips, after 200 you get one of 20 weapons, after 300 you get a random recipe and crafting materials, etc.).
The rewards would typically be worth about 10-40% of the money you spent. The benefits cannot outweigh the costs (like if there was a super-rare mini available), because then people would just spam using the waypoint system to get a reward, and be bored out of their minds for the next 3 hours. The idea would be so that people like me can rationalize every time we go to use a waypoint system that at least we are earning points towards a bigger reward, which will make everybody much happier as we play.
If people decide not to use the waypoint system because they are trying to save money, then they will kick themselves every time they have to use it, and will waste a lot of time being bored while running between cities.
It might also be nice to have an option that teleports you back to your hometown that can be used every ~60 min, just in case a person gets trapped in a high level area and can't escape cause they have no money, or some other situation.
