Feedback:User/MadSkillz1o1/In-Game microphone support for groups

Because typing is slow and inefficient, not to mention you are vulnerable when doing so in explorable areas, perhaps there could be an option to use a microphone in-game while in a party? In the party roster there could be a small "speakers" sign, which would light up when somebody talks. The function would be key-bound, and you could easily mute someone if you wanted, like the "ignore" feature. I also suggest that before anyone could converse, you would have to accept that you want to join the voice chat channel (or join manually). This way players without microphones wouldn't be that left out.

Improvements:

  • no more lame "what's the ventrilo server" and minimizing the game
  • a lot simpler and much more accessible
  • you could warn the party faster from danger, and engage in deep tactics without using other programs
  • the game would become a lot more sociable and friends-friendly :)

Cons:

  • Having a microphone could become a requirement for joining a party
  • Elite areas (if they will exist) will become hostile to players without a microphone (to some extent)

Thanks for hearing me out :)
