As the games goes on, it may get harder for some players the miniatures they want. Many miniatures get dedicated, and others are just unwanted, since they appear much more frequently. In some cases player have used all slots, or even have purchased all possible slots, and the only way to get more chances for a 1st or 2nd year miniature would be to delete it, or wait until someone sells it.

We can't add a system that would give you only those that you don't have. An account can have 36 charater slots, but each year has only 14 different ones. What would we do then? Once you get all of the rest you only get the last one the rest of the times? Once you get all of them it becomes random? They reset so you can only get one of them again? We have a max of 36 slots that may have any character any time, and no way to recreate miniatures that are saved in the Devotion monument.

So, how do you add something to fix that little issue? What we really need is a system that is both a sink for all those surplus miniatures and a way to get more miniatures.

That is, and NPC that will take a certain number of dedicated miniatures of the same rarity and give a random undedicated different one of the same rarity or - if you give even more miniatures - another of higher rarity.

For example, give 3 common ones, and you get one different common one. Give 10 common ones, and you get one uncommon one. You can even make sure you won't get another @#$%& troll or minotaur by using them in the deal.

All surplus miniatures vanish, and in exchange we get new ones. Instead discarding them, giving them away or wanting time trying to sell miniatures no one want anymore, people would actually want to buy all and any of them they can, in order to have more chances of getting a different miniature. Since the system accepts only dedicated miniatures, if a player gets a repeated undedicated one, this system would encourage that player to trade it for some dedicated ones, so this would actually be good for both those with dedicated and undedicated miniatures. Add a toy maker that creates customized copies of those miniatures added at the characters's or account HoM (and also by talking to the Toy Maker if you own EotN), that player no longer need to store all those miniatures, and they flow between players much more than now.

Win-win situation, you get something from the ones you don't want, and get more chances to get different ones.

Of course, not all miniatures would be available that way, I would start only with Birthday ones.

There could even be a 'point' system, giving more points depending on the origin and rarity of the miniature, so you'll need less 4th year miniatures for another change to get another miniature of any year. For example, first year common miniatures would be 5 points. second year 6 points, and so on.
