Feedback talk:User/MithranArkanere/Miniature dealer
I love this idea! The new miniature given would probably still be random but this way you could save up to get a better one or at least get a shot a new common one. And if it were made possible to trade in dedicated ones (maybe at a slightly less value) it would be even better.
Or the NPC could have a list of miniatures available so you can choose and don't get stuck with yet another one you allready got and just traded in. As a collector of miniatures, this would make me very happy :D.Nizab 18:02, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
- Excellent idea. Agaetis Ros 11:01, 5 October 2009 (UTC)
- Really cool. Like the chip trader in Megaman EXE! Lovely idea.--IsaaCThe Sinful 14:12, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- I am not in favor of something that would remove miniatures from circulation. It would disenfranchise newer players to the game, as well as more casual players who don't keep an account full of characters just aging. I believe that it's a good thing that white miniatures, even of the newer years, quickly devalue such that other players have a reasonable chance of buying them. --Emkyooess 14:22, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- This won't make those miniatures very valuable. Just less invaluable. On top of that, this system uses DEDICATED ones. And the birthday ones are pretty much junk after being dedicated in most cases. This would be actually creating miniatures, converting miniatures that can't be dedicated into ones that can. - I hope this would only work for birthday minis. Wouldn't want people to accidentally put in a Kanaxai or something, or someone attempting to get one of the event minis.
- The main idea is to make it work only with miniatures with unlimited sources. That goes for the ones that can be acquired always ingame anytime of the year without time limitations, like the ones found in reward chests and the birthday ones. For the rest, they would need to have unlimited sources to be acceptable for this system too. MithTalk 17:10, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Add a restriction[edit]
I really like that idea, as you said that automatically shrinks the amount of miniatures and provides the possibility to get other minis. The Miniature Celestial Pig for instance was also acquired by trading five Miniature Pigs.
Yet the entire system should be balanced of course, if you are going to include miniatures which are not from annul series, the accordant miniatures should only be obtainable at an accordingly low rate. (for example promotinal ones like the Miniature Kanaxai should come with such an incredibly small chance that the value of existing Kanaxai is still unaffected - and for around 60.000 Globs of Ectoplasms you can imagine that nobody is going to get that one without plenty of luck, winning the lottery would be easier here...) I really doubt that ANet was going to include Miniature Frogs if your proposal came to life, though. —ZerphaThe Improver 21:30, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
- Since the miniature they give is random, that would be reasonable, provided the chance is small enough, and I mean VERY small. The limitation I state is mainly to prevent people from destroying miniatures with limited stock, not from adding one or two of the limited ones per year. And the item duping already destroyed the absolute unique numbers of those. Even if they banned many of the dupers, I doubt they could track absolutely all items. Of course, no way miniature frogs would be included. They were created exclusively for Gayle, and I SERIOUSLY doubt any character but Gayle's having them. MithTalk 00:21, 19 February 2010 (UTC)
