What I want to know, and what seems to have been constantly ignored and forgotten in all the hoopla about the dragons, is at what point will the reclamation of Ascalon be addressed? Ascalonians have been fighting for two and a half centuries to get it back, and regardless of whatever other homeland may lie further south, it isn't Ascalon. We've never been there. We have no connection to it. But many GW players began in Ascalon. Many still remain there today as permapres. And lorewise, closure is needed on that story. A way to drive back the Charr at least from southern Ascalon, if nothing else. Humanity should have something to show for over two centuries of fighting, but Anet has completely ignored this part of the story thus far. There is plenty of room east of the Shiverpeaks for both Charr and humans. We were given so little time in Ascalon before the Searing, it's only fair now that we be given what was denied us in GW1 - extended play in a green, reclaimed and resettled Ascalon (at least southern Ascalon, though it would be nice, albeit difficult, to get everything back south of the wall, which could be rebuilt). It's okay if it doesn't happen till a further expansion or whatever, just as long as it does happen at some point in GW2.
