Separate currency (or tokens) for WvW PvP:

Having a separate currency in WvW (WvW tokens), that is earned by doing WvW activities, would have some advantages. In particular:

- it would separate influence and siege weapons from gems/gold, so that people wouldn't be tempted to buy advantages for their world with cash.

- it would avoid the problem in MMOs such as Warhammer Online that many people leeched on other's purchases for battering rams (or siege golems in GW2), siege weapons etc. and would not use their own gold.

- It would make it so that players contributing siege weapons and influence to WvW, were not disadvantaged in other open world PvE by having less gold than their peers.

- it would reward participation in WvW in a simple direct way.

I think this would work best if WvW tokens were only used for WvW specific things, such as buying siege weapon blueprints, influence etc., but you would still use gold for those things that you could just as easily buy in the PvE areas, such as weapons, armor etc.

So rewards in WvW might consist of some gold, as for PvE areas so you can still level just as well in WvW and in addition some or all tasks in WvW would award WvW tokens that would only be useful for WvW related things and would not be tradable or fungible with gold/gems.
