Dear GW2-team,I hope the handling of corpses will change until the game ships. So, here are just my two cents, because the current “popping into nirvana-style“ really do not fit in a game with such a great art-direction,making the community go crazy. For many gamers it is an important part of atmosphere in a game, when it comes to the question what to do with the corpses of beaten( and looted)enemies. Please think about an animation or something(perhaps falling into pieces of ashes,blown in the wind,or burning in fire,or both.Or skeleton arms could be coming from the ground and pull the body into the deep.Or after a short time,flies are coming,spinning around,then little maggots,then the corpse turns to a skeleton and eventually falls into pieces-all over a time of about 3 minutes or alike(to save processing power or ram this could be optional and adjusted through the player)And to solve that problem under water:A swarm of little piranhas could come -no need to create a bloody mess here-and envelope the corpse in a cloud of whirring fishes,perhaps adding some bubbles and you have a nice little effect raising the atmosphere in the game.
