Age[edit]

My idea involves the choice of age on a character. The choice one choose to make, does not only change the appearance of the character, but it also determines the strength in combat of the character the person is making. For example: A young ranger (I recommend 20 as a minimum age and 50 as a maximum) is in PvP, fightning an elder ranger. The young ranger uses his youth, to move and attack swiftly and jump higher. This gives him the advantage of the environment. He can use the environment to his advantage, fightning from the height, hiding behind a rock, swiftly move out and make an attack, that the old ranger would not even notice, before it hit him, and by then the young ranger will be long gone behind the rock again. On the other hand, the old ranger has more experience, and can make his shots hit whenever, and where ever. Besides that, when he does hit, his attacks deals alot more damage the young rangers attacks. An optional idea, is to make a list of strengths and weaknesses in the character creation. I'll do it on a scale from 1-10, with a young, an old and an in between character:

Swiftness in movement:

20 years: 9

35 years: 8

50 years: 6

Swiftness in combat:

20 years: 10

35 years: 6

50 years: 9

Strength/Damage dealt:

20 years: 6

35 years: 10

50 years: 8

Jumping height: (this will probably not have the big difference in combat, but put it in anyways)

20 years: 10

35 years: 8

50 years: 7

This list doesn't have to imply all proffesions, for example can an 50-years elementalist be raised in strength, and then sat down in combat-swiftness. It's up to you.

This idea is not made to make any characters better than others, it is simply made to satisfy the players needs. Some players need to attack many times pr. second, while others need to deal more damage with one attack, so take this in mind if you are going to imply this ability in GW2, because the list I made, was just to show you about how it is supposed to work: youngest are fastest, oldest is split and the in between is strongest.
