Hard mode indicator 2.0[edit]

Update the Hard Mode screen indicator with the following features:

Cosmetic changes[edit]

These changes publish data already tracked by the game (shouldn't require new functionality):

  • Estimated total: 25/~312 instead of 25
  • Change mouse-over description: "Hard mode: Your party gains +50% XP from foe deaths. You have vanquished 25 of approximately 312 of the currently spawned foes (your actions could increase this total)."

(The denominator, e.g. 312, is the number already used by the game to determine the amount of progress on the HM indicator.)

Functional changes[edit]

These changes require new functionality; they should only be considered if easy to code:

  • Add a symbol to indicate whether there are/are not potential pop-ups remaining. Update the mouse-over text accordingly (e.g. there are still unspawned foes not included in the total).
  • Add a symbol to indicate whether quests are altering spawns in the area; update the mouse-over text accordingly (e.g. active quests in the area have altered the default foes...).
