As it is in Guild Wars 1, many people just use black dye on everything instead of what might look better because black is expensive and people want to show of their money. In Guild Wars 2, I would say that it would be good if all dyes were at the same price so that people would acually dye things the way that they think look the best.(of course there are people who think black looks best too, but as common as it is on certain high end items, I don't think that is the case all the time)

This would not only bring slightly more variety, but also wouldn't prevent a player that doesn't have much money from dying things with a certain color.
