Players have their characters dance for three reasons

Celebration
Gloating/Boasting
Social/Goofing-off

With those reasons in mind, silly dances don't fit. They may be "cute" at first, but quickly wear thin. You kill a hard boss or complete a long quest and /dance, then your male Thief starts doing some girly dance.... it doesn't suit the mood.

Silly dances (feminine male dances or pop-culture/meme references) work for only the social/goofing off aspect of gaming. They do not work to celebrate or to boast of defeating an opponent.

So I suggest dances that would cover all three criteria. The more industrial Tyria would fit well with energetic dances, similar to modern dancing. Ones that may fit for males would be close to capoeira, parkour, street (popping, locking, breaking, jazz, hip-hop) and females could have those variants or the more "sexual" versions that they usually get. Of course, these dances would be judged "good" by as many Anet staff as possible (as opposed to selecting a mediocre dance that works, but looks rather lame by most that view it).
