And no suggestive dances please. Kormon Balser 21:48, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

GOGO Suggestive Dances!!!! but yea. Multiple dances would be a bit much i think (not a bad idea tho). Also, gogo Racial Dances. Cuz having a Charr warrior doing the funky chicken would be wierd O_o ChaosBurst 14:44, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
Dear ChaosBurst, I hope you realize that "gogo" is not a word, and that all that flatulence must have messed up your brain. Suggestive dancing would not be a good idea. Walking through an "authentic" GW2 town, only to see some skank dancing suggestively, would completely ruin immersion, and shatter my good experience for that time period. ~People that like suggestive dancing that (!!!!) much are usually kinda messed up and more than a little perverted, thank you. This idea seems like a silly waste of time to me. Who cares what dances the characters do? And what's wrong with males having goofy dances? Must all men be stoic and all women silly? The very nature of a victory dance is silly/goofy, no one is going to take a character dancing as a serious affair no matter what kind of dance it is he's doing. Unless it involves killing things... Kormon Balser 13:27, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
Weindrasi, you may not care in having a say about what dance you end up with, or may enjoy the stereotypical male dancing with limp wrists, but I personally would like a more fitting style that encompasses the majority of players, not a minority. I also said "silly" dances are fine, but they also are limited--finding something that could cover more "moods" of the players would simply fit better.
As far as suggestive dances... to me, I can take that one of two ways--lewd, looking like pole dancers (highly annoying, as this is not GTA); or appropriate for the setting (belly-dancing, the demure form, can be done multiple ways and is subtle). Korean and Japanese pop music videos feature "sexy" female dancing, that to a Western audience looks like something a 10-yr old would be doing in a talent contest. YouTube can give examples of K-pop and J-pop dancing(I'm neither for nor against, just an example of something I don't consider suggestive, but it is if you read way into movement).
My wife would prefer females to have some sort of street style, and I have to agree. (really I have to ;P ) She likes the physicality (handstands and flips) and how it can convey emotional range, from heartfelt to sensual. Perfect for showing off, being silly, or gloating. Bah, I want my funky chicken dance. Dancing isn't serious business, dude. Honestly though, its not, it isn't put in seriously. And putting in character animations takes a lot of work. As such, I don't see there being multiple dances for each type of character. 5 races x 8 professions x 2 genders = already enough work for the devs. Also, I get a laugh outta Kormon's "crusade" against anything loosely resembling "suggestive themes".--Will Greyhawk 22:39, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
Ty, I try to inspire people. *raises sword into the air and charges down suggestive themes, promptly beheading them*  :) Kormon Balser 00:23, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
