General[edit]

  • These will be coming soon to official sites, forums, and social media near you, but I thought I'd drop them off now for the curious. Enjoy the Reverie! ~ Matthew Moore
Fantastic, i see they're mainly look around at all these wonderful places you may have missed. I can't help think of alot of lore behind these places were missed out and stuff in guild wars beyond has made us visit them again --Smithy-Star User Smithyben sig icon.png 22:32, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
Some of my guildmates are quite emotional. Tong2 22:43, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
A lot of the tumblr community are getting quite emotional as well :') Applecup 23:26, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Texmod[edit]

This update seems to have broken Texmod for me. None of the mods I have (namely the cartography made easy) have any effect, and even the logging mode does not display Texmod's typical information. Has anyone else run into this?

Also, apologies if this would be better suited to another area of the wiki, it's been a long time since I've been here regularly. Nkuvu 22:21, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

Every update got issues with texmod if you havent restarted GW after update. Just download -> quit -> start with texmod -> texmod active, if files are changed during update -> no active texmod. --Kali Shin Shivara 00:41, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
My brother was talking about how his texmod didn't work (we use the same 3,) so I checked as well. Mine seems to work fine, but his, even with a whole computer restart, apparently doesn't work properly. "The map takes an especially long time to load..."--Saera Serena 03:02, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Nkuvu, you should run -image to fully update GW, after that it should work Lorazcyk (=`ω´=) purr... 04:57, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
I do normally update with -image. And even after a full computer shutdown and reboot, Texmod wasn't working. Tried several times last night (re-trying the -image and reboot process a few times over) with no luck. This morning, though, it works fine. No idea what the difference is now, but at least it's working. Nkuvu 16:26, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Reward of the quests[edit]

Seems like you end up with one random customised tormented weapon. Da Mystic Reaper 00:23, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Customised? that sounds a bit lame. What if you're a monk and you get a scythe? (assuming monks never use scythes of course). maybe the weapon is profession related. Gaudy Gourd God 00:32, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
I got a customized tormented shield. Those things are good for people that don't have tormented weapons in their homs.Thedukesd
Youre both right. Customised from the start, and the gifts can't be traded to other players. The gifts can however be shuffled around on same account. Got Divine Favor Staff on my dervish. Gaudy Gourd God 02:10, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Not to whinge or anything, but what's the point? Practically everyone who cared to make considerable progress in their hall already is as far as they want to go. Those that want 30/50 don't need tormented equipment at all, and a single tormented item is a drop in the bucket compared to the time and money needed to get to 50/50. That's on top of the fact that you can't control what you get in any way. I myself received duplicates on several accounts, so I could not have put it in my HoM even if I needed more stuff in it. Several other people got items in attributes that they literally have no possible use for.
I appreciate the sentiment I guess, but this doesn't seem even remotely beneficial to anything other than a very small subset of the playerbase. 69.183.221.239 21:30, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Agreed. Customized armbraces would've been better. Sardaukar User Sardaukar sig.png 00:19, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
If you haven't played enough to get any elite weapons, which I haven't being more of a casual player messing around just for fun, getting one tormented weapon is enough for 2 ticks on the HOM calculator (ANY elite weapon and ANY tormentor weapon). It got me to 15 for my black moa pet, and instead of costing me money was a fun quest to do that got me a handful of plat to put toward a set of armor too. I'd say it's a great quest and reward for a casual player like me without the time and ambition to max out a bunch of titles, but still wanting a few neat things in GW2 from the HOM. Quests can be done 1 single time / account[edit]

Those quests can be done 1 single, after i did them I tried to do them with another char, the npcs didn't any quest for any of my other chars on that account. Thedukesd 02:03, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Makes sense, otherwise you'd get 1 easy tormented weapon per character.--71.212.238.229 03:00, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Is that a total of 1 quests/weapons per account or 4 if you own everything? Tarix
You need all four stones for 1 gift, therefore its 1 gift per character per account. 184.60.235.234 04:31, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
NO, it's a one time thing, like the pvp quests that introduced strongboxes. they are account bound quests.173.88.250.197 08:39, 18 August 2012 (UTC)

Bonuses[edit]

Any idea what "bonuses" they're talking about?

According to a comment at Talk:Wayfarer's Reverie: The Far North: "Double Asuran & Deldrimor point bonus for kills". --Silver Edge 04:59, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
All of the reputation title gains (Sunspear, Lightbringer, Norn, Asura, Deldrimor, and Ebon Vanguard) reward double points for kills. Cress Arvein User Cress Arvein sig.JPG 06:20, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
I just got double faction, gold, and experience for vanquishing Drazach Thicket, and I've been getting double title points for faction turn-ins.YuGiOh 07:31, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Other weekend event bonuses seem to be active as well. See Talk:Wayfarer's Reverie#Bonus Weekend Events. --Silver Edge 08:38, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
