Agreement and Exspansion[edit]

I support this idea. I'm not going to go into detail of what has or hasn't been said before... in fact now that the feedback section is up and running I have a subpage in my regular userspace that needs to be flagged for deletion. I'll get to it when I'm done.

Things I can say that help this suggestion is that I can personally see both Necromancy and Ritualism tapping into the magic of aggression, Necromancy primarily into the aggression of the living and Ritualism primarily into the aggression of the dead. Under some stretches of thoughts Assassins can be seen to be using the magic of denial and Dervishes see using the magic of preservation. Nothing is perfect once you consider the wards of the Elementalists, after all.

Justification can be reasoned out, but it was never officially stated leaving the feeling that the bloodstone division of magic was being ignored. We (there are at least two of us at the moment) would like to see the bloodstones take a larger role.--Ryan Galen 14:43, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

For completeness, you could also say the Paragon dabbles in Destruction (all those burning skills in Leadership, some of the chants could be seen as giving effects similar to attunements and Aura of Restoration, and then you have the elemental spear attacks - some of which may be less obvious than others (might Stunning Strike, for instance, be something like a Thunderclap in spear-delivered form?). If you really want to push it, you could even argue for Destruction for Rangers (elemental-based attacks, preparations, and traps) and Aggression for Warriors (that whole adrenaline mechanic) - the actual link to the bloodstone is obviously getting progressively weaker and weaker, but if there's some connection it might explain why you can't just tack /W onto any other pair of professions. I think the lore behind the Bloodstones needs to be retconed. The separation of the magics doesn't fit with how GW's skills and professions work. They should be shown prominently in GW2, but how they affect the magical forces of Tyria and beyond needs to be changed. And don't say its too late to change the story a little, Marvel and DC do that kind of thing all the time, and without really loosing and credibility. And for the record, Warriors and Rangers don't really use magic.--Will Greyhawk 22:29, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

imo paras, since they have no "spells" (even if chants can be interrupted by otherwise spell-only interupts) i also see them as laking magic.Akbaroth 18:26, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
