Sounds legit. — Raine Valen User Raine R.gif 19:29, 25 Jun 2012 (UTC)

Oh baby. The idea's unique, I'll give you that. You're also adding to my growing hypothesis that many Mesmers would like to see their current F1 and F2 skills outright replaced. I actually like the current F3 and F4 for their utility, and I'm a little afraid of completely losing Distortion and a 3 second Daze as mechanics because they've helped me win fights more times than I can count.
Your idea is great, but I somehow think its translation into the game might be a bit clunky. I personally wonder how all those cooldowns and skills would function in combat. Maybe sort of like the Elementalist's attunements? Somehow I feel like I'd be running into too many problems where I'd like to chain several mask skills to setup an attack or escape from danger and I'm not sure how flexible that mask system would be without it being gamebreaking--like an Elementalist shuffling through elements like a deck of cards. Then again, the constantly morphing visage concept certainly fits the Mesmer like a fabulous, butterfly-encrusted leotard. Furthermore, the abilities don't look that broken if one were to literally unload them all at once (if they even have enough clones to do so). I'm probably just being a baby about the whole thing. I like the idea in general. Mcscamper 05:09, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

My wife and I love this idea. She is a Mesmer through and through and hates that she always has to shatter all her illusions. I am an Elementalist and still love this idea.

Someone else suggested in another post, that phantasms should be exempt from some shatters and giving them more function. I liked that idea, but I like this too. Maybe there could be a combination of the two, but more than that we want this to go through.

Note to anyone reading this...if this idea is something that you agree with, please show support by at least posting "thumbs up" or "good idea". Really anything to pledge support for this change. Thanks.
