Most people I know turn off the language filter altogether, and keep the various chat tabs unchecked unless they're actively using them. --Emkyooess 18:24, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, this is very annoying. And then, there's the NPC on Shing Jea Island named Quimang, and the quests that involve him. His name is in the freakin game, but chat bleeps it out! --MushaTalk 03:40, 20 November 2009 (UTC)
- As a passive trader, I generally leave on all tabs except emotes and I leave my chat filter on Normal because I don't feel the need to hear that kind of language (and don't want to turn off my chats just to exchange Monastery Credits for ID kits in SJM). That being said, I find it rather distracting to have the name of an NPC or the word "reputation" incomplete. One reason to filter chat is to prevent exposure, but I find the current implementation to increase awareness of the very thing it is intended to hide. Adeira Tasharo 21:14, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
