Feedback talk:User/Bermudezis2005/User Interface - Setting Saver

Start[edit]

Lets talk about this!

Um, if you go into the options section. Some where there, you can rearrange it to your viewing, but I would like it, if there was an option where you could sent that to several different ways and save it, etc. kinda like builds, etc. so you could upload one setting of the view for certain areas, etc. and another setting for a different view, etc. But that there should be a note that this is for those who know how to work it as well as a default button and or a reset button (to set it back to it's original.) I think this might help some out. Ariyen 10:22, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Yup keeping the current F11(Options)->Interface the same way but just adding a save button and a dialog(widget) similar to the one for Build Templates. This way players are a bit more familiar with the widget. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bermudezis2005 (talk • contribs) at 07:38, 13 September 2009 (UTC).

This idea could be useful for me for another reason. I play both on Linux and Windows. The keayboard mappings are different on these systems. So I have to change the keyboard shortcuts when I change my system, which is quite ennoying. Agaetis Ros 08:43, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Hmm a dang good point I also play GW on my FreeBSD box and i have the same annoying problem!--Bermudezis2005 11:12, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

yes yes and more yes. i have thought this for a long time. adding this would be so helpful like when i play as a monk in pvp i make the heath bars really big but when i play a mesmer i make the skill activation thing big, and make other changes for when i play other toons. it would be nice to have away to save thous so i can tweek them perfectly for how i play the game. and wouldn't have to do it every time. also it would be useful to set up for farming and the like.- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 06:15, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
It would be nice to be able to share/load these, similar to the skill template code, as well. I enjoy seeing screenshots where people have lined up their screen elements in interesting ways, so it would be nice to be able to load different ones and try them out, without spending a lot of time trying to replicate from a visual. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 16:26, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Multiple Computers[edit]

We have two GW-capable computers in the house and you can't predict which one will be available. One is widescreen, one is not.
IT IS MADDENING TO REPOSITION THE ENTIRE INTERFACE IF YOU GET THE OTHER COMPUTER.
If they just had a template-save thing like for skills and equipment, it'd be lovely. It certainly can remember relative positions if it opens it up the same way each time. :U
So, to this suggestion, YES! YES! YES! | 72 User Seventy two Truly Random.jpg (UTC) 16:23, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
