far as runs. They should do lfg thing and not repeat as it appears in the trade. I say tell the noobs if they repeat, to look in the trade. it's there and no need for that. People should make more use of the trade box than they do. I know I do anymore. Ariyen 16:49, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Why not just change the trade channel to a general advertisement channel? --JonTheMon 16:54, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, i suppose that would work just as good, think ill edit the suggestion to include that C4K3 User C4K3 Signature.jpg Talk 17:06, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
Hell no, are you crazy? Trade Chat is for trading and for Trading ONLY! Its the most used Channel already anyway and I do not want any of those stupid Guild Recruiting spam or other spam in there. After all thats the reason I turned off local. --SilentStorm Talk to me 17:08, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

I'm hoping they create a section for guilds to advertise in their own channel and a section for those looking for groups. Maybe create boxes for those. Instead of flooding the trade box. :-) ((Also hate it when the site logs me out)) Ariyen 18:43, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Well my idea was if they do create a new channel, all chat except casual chit chat would go there, so trade and the party search would still be seperated C4K3 User C4K3 Signature.jpg Talk 18:44, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Or just create two tabs. One for party, and another for Recruit. :-) Ariyen 20:44, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Well I wont disagree with two additional Channels for Party Search and for (the highly annoying) Guild Recruiting Spam but I strongly disagree with that shit beeing merged into Trade Channel, which JonTheMon suggested and to whom I was responding earlier. On another Note though they should work on their Filters which determine what goes into which Channel. But I think I should prolly create a new Suggestion for that. --SilentStorm Talk to me 14:34, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Might need to add a section to the party search window specific to recruitment plus redirecting Mission/Quest/Hunting group postings into a new chat tab if the idea would be approved. Local chat would then become questionable altogether. Most of the time it wouldn't be used at all. Seryu 23:50, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
Actually I think Local chat would be used, If you sat a spell as I have in the Monestary (When people would chitchat once in a while), you would see that the local chat there has been used typically for chit chat. It's been rather a fun thing for them, So I don't see it not being used. Ariyen 10:25, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Create a Casual channel, which would be dedicated for small talk in district. Local/All could then keep all the LFG and recruitment there is. Shayne Hawke 15:19, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Yes. ^^ Something to split discussions from "looking for /guild/new members/party/player/etc." I can't even begin to say how annoyed I am with guild ads being spammed in my face when trying to follow or participate in a conversation. Other times I just turn off local entirely. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 04:04, 23 January 2010 (UTC)

Response to your posting if recruiting for your guild in trade channel.[edit]

I am pretty sure that spam is spam, and if you have to ask, etc. etc. This is my personal opinion only, and I am not in any way associated with ANet other than being a player of GW. But, the problem is that people think well, it is trade channel, so spamming is OK. The issue is spam makes it harder to read anyone's messages, no matter what channel it is in. As far as "signing" goes, don't have an account set up on here yet, but I play many character names in the game, V Guy V Fawkes V being one of them.
