Compared to some other professions, I don't know if Elementalists are the most in need of a buff... but if we're to consider Mesmers and Necromancers, in their current state, to not be overpowered, then perhaps Elementalists do need one? It may not hurt, anyways. Increased damage, on the other hand, might just make them OP in normal mode - perhaps make Energy Storage give armor penetration, instead? Something that stacks with Air Magic spells. If I recall, the problem with elementalists in Hard Mode is that foes have too much armor, and elementalists have slim to no armor-ignoring skills, yes? Armor penetration, while not a perfect fix, would definitely make them work better in such a situation. On the other hand, PvP people may be miffed, and elementalists are far from gimped right now. --Isolina 04:28, 29 March 2011 (UTC)

The guy did say it would be for HM only, so there is that. There are...flaws in the suggestion though, partly in you numbers. A bit of research can fix that up though. I do like the idea of Armor ignoring as the above poster mentioned. Perhaps base the suggestion around that, as opposed to straight damage. One way or the other, A change needs to be made, Eles are one of my favorite professions (second only to the Rangers) and I don't want them to be rendered useless.--Will Greyhawk 01:59, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
Well as long as the fix only applies to HM it's fine. Eles are fine in normal and pvp, but can't really compare to SS necros and Mesmers in HM. Decent HM healers, warriors and rangers are pretty much unkillable for an ele outside meteor shower.
