Feedback talk:User/Ealias/element interaction

I think that these effects are just meant as a visualization and so they have not inevitably interact with other visualizations. See them as "magic" water or fire. You see water but the consequence is supporting energy. You see fire and it draws off energy - perhaps it really burns, but nothing of the environment takes damage. I think it is a question of balancing, too. If you could negate a healing-spell with an offence-spell (i.e.fire) you would have no chance to survive although you are a good healer. But I think an offensive water spell should i.e. erase a fire-wall --Steves 09:28, 9 August 2011 (UTC)

As said above, its magic. Magic by definition breaks the laws of physics.--Will Greyhawk 16:56, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

I actually like the idea of enhancing the gameplay of the elementist class. There are almost infinte possibilities coming to mind.

For instance... Whereever the elementist is standing he's gaining different bonuses. Not all too powerful but it should be considered by the player where he's actually standing. So for example he's standing in a little water pond and actually get's a Water Aura + Boost in Healing Spells. Or standing in the water and firing off a Lightning bolt which will hit everyone in the water (only mobs!). Or incase he's standing in a desert or at a beach with sand, his earth moves should turn from "rocky" to "sand-ish" moves. Just like a sand trap AOE. Or if there's a lighting storm outside. If the caster is getting close to it hes getting a boost in Lighting damage. Or additional skills if he's standing in a proper place considering the correct attunement.

Or firing off a fireball on a huge debree and sets it on flame and if the fire is huge enough, he can summon some lesser fire elementals. Something along this where the player gets more involved into the elements.

Just switching attunements every minute is easy. But doing it in the right enviroment will add more fun to the class I think.

It sounds like a good idea, however this might maker caster classes too strong compared to none casters. (Mages can put out fire arrows but can rangers do the same against them?). As I said I like the idea, but I'm afraid it might get a bit unbalanced then. --Kilaa1000 20:25, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
