Interesting. Not to contradict, but effects you are talking about are still possible if SEVERAL players work TOGETHER. By not having all abilities you mentioned, team work is encouraged which I believe one important value for the devs.

Skills like the one you describe could well fit into environmental objects that somehow are created though!
