Huh, I have never wanted to have glasses, Earrings, smoking pipes OR cigars. I agree that glasses, eye patches, and goggles should be optional head-wear and not take up your helmet slot. Having goggles and a lab coat would be so awesome... Kormon Balser 01:40, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

First of, nice post. I've seen many posts but this actualy is like made from your heart, i realy like that. Second i realy like the idea of having this cosmetic efects, but still they arent something easy to handle - expand your idea in detail(how exactly is going to have a closed plate helmet and cool glasses or cigarettes on top of it, or how to have both cigar, glasses and a helmet or eaven half goggles and eyepach on the other side, etc.). I would realy like to see the full extent of the idea and how its going to work without failing hard - the goggles to merge with the helm... Scourge_213 20:54, 17 November 2011 (UTC)
I completely agree! My main human character wears glasses. Playing him in Guild Wars 1, I had to fight all the way to Rata Sum and then gain favor with the Asura before I could get them. I'd rather just have glasses from the start, since they're a big part of my character's personality. Weindrasi 05:58, 18 November 2011 (UTC)Weindrasi
I do believe they should make these things and give them their special slot, or give the player 2 different equipment windows so that these things do not take in bag space to carry around. These things should give no bonusses tho.. would be stupid if something like a eyepatch would increase armor or something, I mean.. why would fighting with 1 eye work better then two? xD --Kilaa1000 20:38, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Jarlaxle_Baenre Direct yourself to the magic items and look for the eyepatch ;D
Anyways, I think a seperate slot for these items is a great idea. I think it'd be as simple as the mechanics for the main-hand/off-hand slot in OGW: if the helmet does not allow for other headgear (like a bow or staff doesn't allow for an offhand) then it simply crosses out the headgear and you gain no bonus. Simply add a bonus to the helmet, such as armor for a full-plate helmet or energy for a deep cowl, to offset the loss of headgear, and you've got a logical, well balanced system. Don't count on tobacco products being included, dude. Tobacco, in even a rated T game, is going to make some people freak out. Arenanet prolly doesn't want that kinda hassle. However, as far as something like glasses goes, I personally can see that happening. Especially as part of the town cloths.--Will Greyhawk 00:00, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
