Feedback talk:User/Helyanwe/Available character slots in Guild Wars 2
If not 8, then 6 please :P Kormon Balser 14:21, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- I kinda doubt they'll actually do it - remember GW(1)? 4 starting char lots form 6 starting professions. Its bad for their economy - more expensive game for release(less people buy it - loss of money)/loss of money because the slots are already open, no need to buy form ingame shop. Sill i like the idea and i hope it gets in for the release. :) Scourge_213 16:30, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
- (edited) I remembered it as being 6 to start but after some research it was 4 start and an additional 2 with Factions, 2 with Nightfall. I believe there was an additional slot available with something else as well. Hard to remember because I purchased a second copy to add additional character slots prior to the character slot microtransaction availability. I do want to avoid having multiple accounts again but since I still have no credit card and Paypal and I had a falling out it may be unavoidable if I want to have at least one of each profession. (I have 15 GW1 chars :P) Helyanwe 19:58, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Wish in one hand...[edit]
I have a 99.9% expectation that this will stay at 5, which means only one of my Ranger, Guardian, Thief, Engineer, or Necromancer will be rushed simply to buy enough gems to get those extra slots, and the others will sit there until absolutely needed, or I have payed for those slots or given up because of market conditions. This is not how I want to play this game but with the current info on the beta status which reads: During BWE2, character slots cost 800 gems, and accounts started with 5 slots. The price of a slot and the number of slots on a new account have not yet been finalized for release. [1] <-- this is where that 0.1% comes from.
$30 [2] is not coming out of my pocket for 3 legacy classes, those classes, for me, will be Elementalist, Mesmer and Warrior none of which I even created during beta. IF anything changes, I can only see the previous wish for 6 as plausible. --Skekzyz 07:00, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
