Feedback talk:User/IVLeague/Mesmer Phantasm/Clone Suggestion
Honestly, I really like this suggestion a lot. However, a lot of the discussion around this topic that went on in the post-BWE2 forums called for a fixed lifetime for all phantasms (like Spirits in GW1) and then remove them from being shattered or replaced at all period. Your suggestion feels a lot more fluid than that, but somewhat overly complicated compared to the other idea floating about the internet.
I mean, yours could work with enough theory-crafting, testing and finally implementation so the Phantasms can overshadow the clones during the Fading Stage (I don't want to have to deal with 3 clones and 2-4 phantasms all shattering on me or a Mesmer with 8 seconds of Distortion), but overall I like the idea. Perhaps they could be combined to prevent Phantasms from being shattered or replaced during Star Stage (just long enough for them to get their abilities off once or twice) before destroying a regular clone to replace it in the 3-bubble queue next to the skill bar that are fair game for shatter skills.
