I think you have this game mixed up with something else... Boats, I agree with (if there happens to be islands, or separated continents) ChaosBurst 01:01, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- The videos during Charr Week do show an armored-car-looking vehicle as well as some weird tank/battle wagon with one massive wheel in the front or rear of the vehicle. Then we've also seen the Airships in the most recent Gamescom video on the official site. It has been confirmed the Airships will play a role in GW2. So there is already a precedent set for adding at least some vehicles to the game. In addition there's the Asura Hazmat suit. I agree that vehicles do add some interesting twists to strategy and tactics. Just how far the developers want to take that will remain to be seen. Guild Wars 3 perhaps 03:08, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
- Non of the above mentioned vehicles are going to be Player controlled at release. I believe it was Colin Johnson that made this statement...I could be wrong on the exact individual.
- Anyway, I kinda disagree. Vehicles and mounts (which you have to admit, is what some of these vehicles amount to) should have a minimum appearance in the game. Too much of a presence, particularly PvP wise, wouldn't fit into the how Anet wants the matches to work. I don't mind boats and ships, but they are prolly going to be a fair cry from the semi-modern ones you've mentioned. Its still a fantasy game, after all. And this last thing is strickly personal, but for one reason or another, I just don't like airships in a swords and magic game.--Will Greyhawk 04:14, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
