Guils Wars 2 does not have heroes nor companions. The only allies you're gonna get are pets, minions and sometimes a temporary NPC for a certain mission. You're not gonna miss them though, because the game will be completely solo-able (with the exception of non-storytelling dungeons); other things like the Dynamic Events will help you find new friends and helpful players, though they won't require you to party with anyone if you don't want to.

Regarding the GW1 3-hero parties you wish you could expand, fear not! ArenaNet recently made a poll to players to know if they would like to see 7-hero parties. Knowing that the answers were positive, they will do it in an "upcoming feature build". --217.129.133.230 16:05, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

I dont know much about game data but, if Anet decided to add companions even though it is stated they wont, wouldn't the server be crammed with everyone's 'unique' heroes?--BookofTyria 19:31, 14 November 2010 (UTC)
