Feedback talk:User/Knighthonor/Change Shortbow into Crossbow weapon
It may be similar in look, but its functionality is completely different. --Jimmer123 09:44, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
- I said nothing about functions. On the looks.--Knighthonor 00:30, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- But a crossbow is entirely different to a shortbow. It would be completely implausable to make shortbows do the same thing as they do now but make them look like crossbows. I'm not saying crossbows would be a bad addition to the game, im just saying there are no grounds to do what you are suggesting--Jimmer123 10:06, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed, Jimmer123.--Will Greyhawk 17:08, 9 September 2010 (UTC)
- Trident and Staffs are different weapons but have the same look. That's my point. Crossbow would simply be a different look. Nothing changes about the skill.--Knighthonor (talk) 00:50, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

I like the idea of crossbows, but if we're going to go that far then somebody's going to want pistols because we already have rifles. Or they'll want repeating crossbows, which will unbalance ranged fighting and also prove pointless due to the implication that there will already be attack speed buffs. It'll be an endless struggle for more technology than is necessary. If it performs the same function, why change the model? Teddy Dan, yo. 08:34, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- Apparently it's been confirmed somewhere that pistols will be featured in GW2... Well, that destroys one of my arguments but strengthens another. If pistols are to be implemented, crossbows will be pointless. Teddy Dan, yo. 08:43, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
i have nothing against the idea of having crossbows in game, however i don't think they should replace shortbows, i think it's good both exist however i agree they could perhaps bennefit from being made more easily distinguishable, in pvp knowing the enemies' weapon set could be a tactical advantage, giving classess which can use both an edge Ealias 07:35, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
