Feedback talk:User/Luger/Shadow Form (PvP) - Making It Viable
The problem I see with something like this, is that it'd take a lot of work to do most likely :/ More work, at least, then a normal skill balance. We're talking about making another entity, not just fixing some values or changing a function Greep 20:46, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- I agree that it does look like a lot of work but i think it's definately an option. I know absolutely nothing about game mechanics and creating new ones but i'm sure it wouldn't be too much trouble to use the same entity as is used in Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support and take the life stealing from Vampirism and apply it to the assassin. Like i said i know nothing of programming game mechanics but it seems to me they have 2 of the main ingredients already there. As for the enchs/hexes etc. thing, i agree that may require a lot of work since i'm unaware of anything like it in the game already. Luger 21:30, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- That said, maybe only the stance can be passed over as opposed to enchantments, hexes and conditions. After all, it is only a 'shadow.' I think there's a skill in-game somewhere (be it monster-only or usable) that copies opponents stances, but maybe i'm wrong.Luger 21:32, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- actually I think the copy stance is a normal player skill... don't rememeber the name since nobody uses it. Greep 21:50, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- Is it possible you both mean Mirrored Stance? Lou Wolfskin 00:55, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

The Shadow Warrior form DIABLO II! ^_^ --Falconeye 10:45, 28 February 2010 (UTC)
Is this suggestion a joke? I hope it is. Introducing summons in PvP is always a bad idea. Morphy 10:34, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
- I actually really like this idea. It opens up a massive can of utility for Assassins and I can personally see myself enjoying some random use of this skill. The idea of implementing a Vampirism Ebon Assassin seems viable (or at least giving it life stealing and maybe having it's attacks heal the caster at the same time), although I'm not too sure about the hex, enchantment, and stance copy idea. Either that would be too difficult to program in or might set up for some OP combos (things like Sand Shards, Flurry for life steal spam, or Death Nova--although the prospect of sending your shadow self to blow people up does sound kind of cool). If I may, I'd like to make my own little suggestion. Feel free to use it or at least copy the templates so you can make your own suggestion stand out a bit more from the rest of the text.
Shadow Form 5 ¾ 20 Elite Spell. You summon a level 10...18...20 Shadow Assassin at target foe's location. Each time it attacks, it steals up to 5...21...25 health from its target and you are healed for 5...21...25 health. This Shadow Assassin dies after 6 seconds.
Shadow Assassin stats:
- Standard base 70 armor. No additional armor. Whatever skin.
- Rank 9 in Dagger Mastery
- Rank 8 in Critical Strikes
- Wields Req 9, 15^50, 20/20, +30hp (insert dagger skin here) Daggers
I figured it could stand to live a bit longer seeing that it has no real skills, no IAS, and no damage buffers so I tacked on an extra second of life. Also, instead of saying that it's damage transfers over to the user as healing, I decided simply to give it life stealing and have its attacks heal the caster as well. Again, it may sounds a bit uber but it's essentially just an auto-attacking Assassin so there isn't TOO much to worry about. I also figured that the Assassin should probably have some basic, constant stats too in order to to make it viable and maybe easier to program.

- I really like this ^ idea now. I think that Enchanted Daggers would be funny skin for it. Maciej2010 17:21, 1 January 2012 (UTC)
