I prefer to use this skill as a Ranger, to be an interrupter as well as using my pet to fight. So if I interrupt, the pet can kill. The quicker, the better. (I do have a pve ranger and a pvp ranger) Ariyen 06:37, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

...You actually suggested increasing the recharge of Savage Shot? And you actually compared this to Savage Slash? And even worse, you suggested spamming this interrupt on recharge (which is a horrible strategy) is not completely awful? Dude, the fuck, seriously. All I'm going to say about this crappy suggestion. - I agree with main article insofar as a nerf is needed here. Basically this skill can be used as quick shot, and it happens to interrupt anything too, there's no risk in firing them off. Add onto the fact that it is the number 1 spike followup in rangerspike shows you there's something wrong here. Dshot and concshot have their damage limited, which prevents use in this way, disrupting shot would be used instead of savage shot, so unfortunately that'd need a nerf too. Raise the recharge to a sensible 10 and reduce the basic damage of the attack to 1...12...15, +damage on a spell interrupt is fine though because that's actually rewarding the skill being used for its purpose. --Ckal Ktak 15:53, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

- And what if using it as a quick shot actually IS the purpose? Thought of that? This skill is mainly an interrupting quick shot with aftercast being the downside. The +dmg is nothing more than a bonus. I don't see why that's a bad thing, Needling Shot is used for the same purpose mostly except that Savage Shot can also be used as an interrupt.
