Feedback talk:User/Previously Unsigned/Announce when entering matches

Even something as simple as a flashing Guild Wars on the taskbar wouldn't go unappreciated. If you wanted to take it a step further, make it a beep or something like the whisper sound to recognize that something is happening with GW, so you should bring your focus back to that. Of course, don't take it too far with things such as poking, as that would get obnoxious fast. I don't personally want my GW to talk to me in words, but that's just my preference. Other than that, I like the suggestion because it would allow people in PvE even to be ready, and then come back when the rest of the team is actually ready instead of having to watch chat that has nothing to do with you. --Axis 06:28, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

I'm with Axis: I like the idea that GW will do something to alert you that a serious countdown has started and again when you enter an arena (or mission). I also don't want GW talking to me. A unique sound would be fine. (I also don't want any of my programs to steal focus without my permission; that's default for Microsoft and it always annoys me.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 10:04, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Games have always had announcement voices! Puzzle and dancing games with their "Cool/great/awesome!" when you get combos, fighting games for knockouts, etc. I'm not talking about full paragraphs and sentences, just a quick statement. Remember that it would only talk to you when you only have the option on. And that's why I also put the only when minimized option there too - so if the game is up, you wouldn't hear it every time. But thanks for the comments. I like hearing any feedback. Previously Unsigned 03:29, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
