Feedback talk:User/Ravencroft0/Survivor Track Possibilities
I do agree that the few tiers of the title make this quite a feat to attain (and painful to lose). Showing level 2 is nice, and level 3 astounding, but between those two are too many hours of dedication that are thrown away. Even adding one more rank could let people pause and think, "Well, I made it this far, didn't get the top, but I like this character, and I can walk away showing how hard I tried." This is what goes through my mind whenever I look at my ranger's cartography title (98.2%), earned without textmod etc. G R E E N E R 10:47, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- I dunno, titles should be hard to get, that's why they are prestige. As for survivor farming, please no!!! Gelei (talk) 11:05, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
I am a survivor junkie too, only one of my 11 GW1 characters doesn't have at least survivor, that one, being my oldest character. While farming belittles the title, and I doubt it will be available, or possible to farm a survivor title in GW2, I agree with the suggestion to add more levels to the title track, as it would encourage players to keep a character, instead of restarting upon their first death. As to reusing armor for a like named character, if, say, a character had gotten to say level 4 or 5 of a 5 tier survivor track before their first death, it might not be that bad of an idea. Of course, I'd remove that option after they've accumulated 'x' number of deaths. I've had times where a local healer would resurrect me several times within a few minutes, only to get killed almost instantly each time.--Warzog Watch your six! 19:30, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- Gelei, I'm not sure I get what you mean. Or rather I don't think you get what I mean. I don't think the difficulty for getting survivor should be lessened (and certainly not made harder), all I'm saying is I would like more recognition for my efforts at getting the title. It just seems a bit silly that you only have 3 ranks for the title and the spacing for each rank is equally silly. Twenty to 50 and then 100? I would rather it be in increments of 20 levels. At least then it would make more sense. And it wouldn't make getting the first rank any harder, as it stays the same. Besides we don't even now what the leveling is going to be like in GW2, so I'm just watching and waiting. Just about any suggestion made at this point as far as mechanics for GW2 have to wait until the final product hits the shelf. The devs are players like us with the same desires and concerns as we have about gameplay, and they realize that having little extras in a game make it more worthwhile. I hope they keep titles as one of those extras in the next game, and I hope they actually give the titles some purpose, as with the eotn tracks (skill potency and fairly nice armor). --Ravencroft0 09:46, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
