Titles are an important part of the Guild Wars experience, as it can show in most cases the skills and dedication a player has with the game. Probably one of the top tier titles, the Survivor track is the most sought after. Would you please expand the rankings for it should you choose to incorporate it into GW2? I like the concept of maxing the title at an experience equivalent to Lvl. 100 as you've done with Rank 3, but I feel you could give more ranks to this title so that players can show a more exact picture of where he or she stands in attaining max ranking.
For example, I have a Factions based warrior grinding xp in Kilroy Stonekin's Punch-Out Extravaganza! and Fraith (my warrior) is sitting at an amount of xp that would put her at an approximate level 41. Perhaps set up rankings so that every 20 levels would reward a rank in the survivor track? Since the experience cap will be raised in GW2 have Rank 1 at 20% max rank, Rank 2 at 40%, and so on until you get to rank 5. Spreading out the rankings like this gives the players a greater since of accomplishment knowing they have come so far. Perhaps there should even be a bonus associated with the track to keep people motivated. Let us say that at Rank 2, the player gets a humble but noticeable health bonus only when the track is displayed, much like the need to have the Lightbringer track selected in order to get the benefit of the Lightbringer skills. Then at Rank 4 you get an upgrade from the previous bonus.
- Addendum: The health bonus would only be applicable to PvE to be fair in regards to PvP.
On a further note, it only takes one death to lose the track and I know for a fact that players have lost thousands, if not more, plat while trying to get this title only to have to start over again. New armor, new skills, new weapons (if they were customized) and no way to get back any of what was lost except for trying to salvage armor for materials, which is a hit and miss in itself. Make it so that we can reuse that armor. As long as we keep the name we were using for the survivor, what harm does it do, really, to let us players reuse the armor?
Thanks for reading and I hope all you who do read give positive feedback.--Ravencroft0 11:27, 5 March 2010 (UTC)
