Lightning surge was forgotten over the years, it doesn't even have armor penetration. Lsurge could use some sort of buff, but making the knockdown unpreventable might prove too strong, KDs are very strong in PvP as you can see with hammer warrs and the current 'sin chains that involve 1 or 2 knockdowns. --Taki Fujiko 13:40, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
- But Gale and Mind Shock are also unpreventable. Ligh.Surge is not worth an elite..so just make shatterstone as the others 2, no end damage if you remove it. ..200 dmg form a single elite is so bad..= =--TeaCat 08:00, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- There's no reason to make them all work the same other than, "I'm annoyed that these don't trigger the same". Leave them different or make the elite one's trigger on end for that reason, but don't change them just for the sake of conformity. ~>Sins WDB 15:46, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
- On another note, shatterstone is horrible. NuVII 17:41, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- Shatterstone isnt weak - 200 damage within 3 seconds with good recharge, its great for spikes... just MoI is stronger overall 71.53.151.9 21:29, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
- Agree, shatterstone + meteor + vapor blade = nasty spike. Not to mention the nice misdirection you can play with it in regard to team spiking.~>Sins WDB 05:09, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's a great idea to telegraph your spike three seconds beforehand. Because vapour blade isn't affected by enchantments like prot spirit. Lighting surge is also a great example of this type of skill - a hex spell with barely 100 damage and a KD! For my elite slot! The enemy gets a 3 sec warning! I sure would hate to lose that skill slot to a crappy elite like Bsurge or MoI! NuVII 10:51, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- Imo the fact that removing them doesn't trigger anything is good since it allows fast hex removal to prevent the downside. However, this does make the skills kinda weak. Maybe they should have their casting times reduced to 1 second to make up for it, or LSurge could get initial damage like Shatter does. It could also use its armour penetration. 86.27.179.159 12:25, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- Nuke I clearly established that in team spikes it's a nice skill to misdirect the enemy team as to who the spike target is, because its 100 damage with a telegraphed 100 additional damage. The chain I posted above is useful against splits, specifically vs a rit, warrior, or mesmer. It also becomes useful when the opposing realises they can't rely on shatterstone being the indicator as the target they need to prot and suddenly the shatterstone target gets blasted. You should try testing these skills out before writing them all off, but as was mentioned before Mirror of Ice is so stong that it makes other damage elites look terrible.~>Sins WDB 14:28, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

- As a reply to his post also, confomity and consistency help make the game easier to comprehend and are, for the most part, a good thing, not just a nitpick issue. 145.94.74.23 09:27, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
