"Leaving" threats are ineffective arguments[edit]
If you wish to convince ArenaNet to not make changes to skills, you need to demonstrate why the skills are good for the game the way they are. I don't believe you can reasonably do so in the instance of Shadow Form, and it's unlikely you could do so for 600/smite teams either. Allowing near invincibility to a single class, or a small group is an overall bad mechanic in a game that is suppose to be based on cooperative team play. Elite areas in particular should not be "farmable" by solo players or even small teams, nor should they be dominated by a single profession. This eliminates too many players from participating in them, and thus eliminates their chances for reaping the substantial rewards of those areas. While the base problem is not necessarily SF or 600/smite, but rather the design of the AI, there will always be imbalance in PvE, but to have these builds dominating high end PvE play is just bad overall for the game, the economy, and thus the community itself.
Given that Arena Net has sold well over 6 million copies of Guild Wars, the threat of losing you and your dozen or so friends is a very small thing in the grand scheme of things. -- Wyn talk 11:47, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
