We don't need mounts they are keeping map travel, so you were talking of combining mounts and companions, well another way we can keep the number of party members down is not have mounts. - Giant Nuker 14:39, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Agreed, map travel so no need for mounts.--Malchior Devenholm 01:22, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Were you people against firearms in GW2? I had to argue with those people too. More than that, did you read the article? All the way to the bottom? And the sub topics? Well I suppose you don't have to read the subtopics. Anyway, I think I might not need to prove my point in this case.--Shai Halud 05:42, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
I'm not reaching for comparisons, but the shift from GW to GW2 can already be compared to World of Warcraft (which bothers me); adding mounts is only going to make GW2 look and feel even more like it. I also have to agree that map travel makes them rather pointless. To comment on the above, regarding firearms, I'm not against them at all. The current GW era is no stranger to black powder, and in the year GW2 is set it makes perfect sense for a personal firearm to exist. Xiaquin 07:05, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
Well since you seem to have started contributing about four days ago, I'll believe you weren't one of those shouting on Gaile's page on how firearms were going to ruin GW2 or one of those deleting my posts on the new weapons suggestion page, though I don't know what you've said on other sites. On the other hand, If the world of GW2 is ao much larger than that of GW and/or if outposts become less numerous, mounts could very well be useful. I any case I was never suggesting mounts for GW2, that had already been suggested when I posted this. This is more of a suggestion for non-human companions. Since seige beasts and transformations were in GW1 and golems are confirmed in GW2 and things resembling by suggestion for Jagganathen have appeared in several pieces of concept art, only my suggestion for human mounts has not been yet confirmed to be included in some form. We don't know if any of these will be mountable, but take that portion out of my suggestion and you're still left with quite a bit on non-human companions, which is really the meat of the subject. Of course you people didn't read that part so you don't care, but I'm just saying.--Shai Halud 22:35, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
