Feedback talk:User/Silmar Alech/Include minions, spirits and summons in the party window

So for each minion master in the group the party window will reflect each minion?... not to mention spirits... so for arguements sake lets say we bring a group with 8 people, all 8 have 16 death mastery giving us 10 minions each, and the group has all 26 ritualist spirits and all 25 ranger spirits, and even more 4 of them who took the ranger spirits also brought pets... so our group composition is - 8 people, 80 minions, 4 pets, 50 spirits... will the change really show health bars for every single one?... even worse if we go to a 12 man mission, which increases the number to 12 people, 120 minions, 8 pets, 50 spirits... a massive total of 190 health bars Talamare 12:35, 7 September 2009 (UTC) (Edit conflict) How do you think you can fit all this on screen? And having multiple lists makes it even worse.
Just think about it: 10 minions (even more with multiple minion masters), 3-6 spirits and maybe 1-3 summons. Where can you list all this? Not to mention that this has to be made useable as well. There just are some problems you have to live with. - J.P.ContributionsTalk 12:38, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

I think the idea has some merits. It is extremely annoying for a human character to use Death Nova, but it's something a hero can do almost perfectly; IMO, that's a problem that has to be solved. A single ritualist typically does not have too many spirits (10 is the maximum, I think). I don't think it would be unreasonable to let a ritualist see the health bar of his spirits (only the ritualist who controls those spirits), and to change Death Nova so it targets all nearby minions, instead of requiring a player to pick them individually. Please read carefully. The only visible change in the first place is an additional expander button just like the one for the ranger pet control panel or for the hero skillbar for everyone that has a summon. If you click that expander, the summons for that party member only are listed. If you click again, the summons list goes away. If you have two minion masters, you can open the list of one, or both, or of noone at all. There is no global list of each and every summon. Usually, if you are a minion master, you will have your own list of minions open. If you are a spirit spammer, you will have you own list of spirits open. If you are a monk, you will perhaps have the list of the person open that has the current stone-summoned creature. This will not clutter the screen.
If this summons list is somewhat integrated into the party window or if each summons list is an extra party window, is open to discuss. In my opinion, it should either go to the bottom of the party list (not so good) or as an extra party list - one separate window for each party member (better). --Silmar Alech 14:24, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

While I do agree that this can be useful (very difficult to Death Nova/Jagged Bones as a human player), it would be really annoying to see them all in the window. My fiance and I run a build with a minion master, a lot of pets, and a spirit spammer. The pets already take up a great deal of space in the window, but to add the spirits, minions and summons, too? Ugh, I don't even want to think of the party window clutter. ><

I made this picture a while back:

Minion control panel.jpg I thought of having this as some kind of extra HuD element, maybe expand it to include symbols for binding rituals and maybe even nature rituals. Ideally the healthbar system would expand and contract as needed, so you don't need to make it 20 slots big all of the time. --Ckal Ktak Technobabble.jpg 19:45, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
