A cool concept but I severeley doubt it will make its way into the game for the PvP reasons you mentioned, unless there are PvE/PvP split skills in GW2 as in GW1. Also I dont think its really powerful enough to be classified as an elite in the cpntext of other GW2 elites we've seen. Maybe if, as you say, it has AoE or gives them invulnerability/some sort of strong buff whilst under its effects it could work as an elite. Otherwise maybe a standard utility skill with lower duration/recharge and longer cast time. But as I said, a cool concept :) --82.26.245.69 19:27, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Perhaps you could make this skill even more specific by allowing the casting player to take over the target for a brief space of time. So the caster would freeze and do nothing while the player views the game from the perspective of the victim and can use its skills, move around etc. In PVE boss monsters might be excluded because this could get overpowered. But the strategic possibilities in PvP would be enormeous. Farnion 09:30, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure there are PvP/PvE splits, yes - I think they planned that from the beginning this time. The "possession" idea is also pretty cool for a more powerful version - though in PvP, it wouldn't be so much fun for the guy that got locked out of his character for 10 seconds or however long it'd be. -- Sirius (talk) 10:22, 14 March 2011 (UTC)

Good idea but 2 minutes is way too long! It should be way shorter and they should add things that the control ends when the player casting it gets damage himself for example. In PvP they could put the Mind control player in a special state in which they can try to fight themselves out of it. The stronger the player casting it (level wise) the harder it is to get out of it. --Kilaa1000 20:33, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
