The majority of the corsairs are dead (or undead, as the case is) as their main hideout was on the sunken Orrian peninsula. When Zhaitan rose Orr from the depths, the Corsairs were basically wiped out. They then were reanimated and serve as the blockade that is preventing access to Cantha. Perhaps a few of their numbers remain on Istan, but due to the Dragon in the Crystal desert and Palawa Joko's forces, we cant get to Elona either. Only after expansion of the original GW2 game can any hope for joining the Corsairs pop up.--Neithan DiniemUser Talk:Neithan Diniem 19:26, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

True but Lions Arch is supposed to be a city rebuilt by Corsairs and other piratey people, so we can assume corsairs will at least return. Maybe it would be possible to join some sort of pirate order? I don't know, we'll have to wait and see.~Cookies~ 14:36, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

profession?[edit]

Corsair or pirate would make a good profession. They would probably use a Gun/shortsword combo. It would be pretty cool. Just saying.

In my view, pretty likely.[edit]

I think this class would have a new, compelling flavor, and it would have a use for pistols, weapons which might be put in the hands of Mesmers, but also need a "grounded" class that uses them without much need for explanation.

Also, Asuran pirates. Hell, Norn pirates! What's cooler than a viking pirate? --Lethal Breastmilk 16:14, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
