Spirits: When Guild Wars was young, the game was actually balanced, meaning that if something had a powerful effect, it also had a drawback. The reason ranger spirits affect everything is because they're very powerful. They should not be changed. ~Shard 06:53, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- They aren't that powerful -- how many players actually use spirits in Guild Wars PvE? Perhaps in PvP it might be a little different, but usually in PvE I'm surprised to ever see a player use a spirit in the game. -- Tashiro 16:29, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Traps: Shout distance? I don't think you know how big shout range is. The ranger could lay a trap, and an enemy 50 feet away would get hit by it. Traps serve a niche role, but that role's still there, and it isn't likely to change. ~Shard 06:53, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- That's just it, in PvE, traps shouldn't be a niche role. They should be just as usuable and helpful as any other ability for the ranger. A player who uses a 'traps only' build should be just as helpful to a team as a 'pet only' or 'bow only' build. -- Tashiro 16:29, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- I very often see Winter, Frozen Soil and Edge of Extinction. The Spirit walking thing would be neat. Traps, I dunno. Farmers still use them. Cuilan 01:02, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- Farming is still very niche. If you're heading from point A to point B, or say you're doing a mission -- traps should be a readily viable option. But yeah, even making the spirit mobile would be nice. -- Tashiro 05:42, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- The spirit would have to keep a distance... Cuilan 17:03, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
