When someone on your team has already left.
I strongly agree with this point. When a player has already doomed the team by leaving, there is no point to punishing his teammates with either dishonor points if they leave, or a long timw to wait until they are killed.
I strongly disagree on your other two points. Long load times don't mean the player won't load. Thay could be downloading files, have a slow internet connection, or a lag spike, or any number of other events to cause them to load slowly. You're talking about elitism based on your connection speed to Anet, and that's not cool for a number of reasons.
Again, having your whole team wiped except for one person does not mean you lose. I've had many matches where both teams burned their sigs (or not) and the match ended up being a 1v1. I've even had some matches where one person used the divide and conquer strategy to kill all four members of the opposing team. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 02:03, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

With the not-loaded part, I wouldn't mind them not implementing that part if they fixed the whole thing where when someone leaves with 1-4 seconds before the next match, they're still on your team when you load in and are stuck with three people. Some people do it on purpose, some people don't realize it happens, and some people just don't decide whether or not to leave until the last second, and sometimes they d/c right before the timer and it happens. Either way, your team is pretty gimped the next match.
With the only-one-person-alive part, it could be modified to not give you dishonor if the last person alive has also been reported for leeching by two people. I know I've had matches where you can win after having only one person left, but griefers are pretty annoying :/ ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 05:59, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
You get dishonor if you act in a dishonorable way. Leaving without a a victory, defeat or /resign is dishonorable.
  • When someone leaves, you stay and die with Honor.
  • When you are the last man standing, you stay and fight to the death with honor.
  • If someone takes more time to load, you go out anyways and die with Honor... or wait just a little bit if you can.
  • And if you are in RA... enjoy your stay, because it won't last much.Knock knock? Who's there? Deck Deack what? Sealed deck! Good bye RA! Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-haw!
I've won may times under number disadvantage, so it can be done. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 07:27, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
I'm not saying it's impossible to win with a disadvantage, but it's much less likely. If you have three players and the other team has four, you could spend two minutes letting them kill you and only win 5% of the time, or you could leave right away, join another match that has a full team, and spend 4 minutes fighting a match with a 50% chance to win.
Also, RA isn't going away when sealed deck comes along, TA is. RA will continue to have a playerbase, and these things will continue to be an issue. ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 14:13, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
I've won matches before with an unloaded team member, it's not hard if you have even a half-decent team. However, I think that if 0.75¾ of your team has resigned, then players should be able to leave without dishonor points. That would cover both of your points partially, and basically captures their spirit - if 3 members of your team want to leave and the last person prevents them from doing so, they should be able to leave without penalty. --Gah_ 16:18, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Disagreeing with Shard here. I have had to load and it take FOREVER to load into the game, only to see that I have been 'reported' leeching. Why play? I've already got dishonorable points. Maybe if You wait till halfway through to see if they play or not, then report if they don't. Because you don't know if they're leeching or not. They could be loading.

Secondly I think the leeching ban should be after two games in a row. if this person keeps joining games and not doing anything, a definite ban for more than ten minutes, like 15 and Anet should investigate them. Determine if further punishment is needed or what not. Ariyen 07:18, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
