Feedback talk:User/Xaviez/Premium Support

An interesting idea though I'm not convinced it's a great one. If there's one thing that should be universal it should be swift and fair support, especially in the case of hacking. I would definitely like to see a lot better methods of dealing with hackers (which, at the moment, seems to consist of being able to change your password and forgetting it ever happened). A premium subscription isn't the way to deal with that though in my opinion, just better support all round. I'm sure there's a huge amount of reliable players around the world who'd be more than willing to act as volunteer GMs, no real need to keep it in house. Bramblefeet 23:08, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

bigger problem is that gms cant rollback individual characters, just the servers, and they'll never do that for hacking, and I don't think they'll change that until gw2 24.130.140.36 23:47, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
I'll echo this feedback. What are we really trying to treat; the symptom or the cause? The symptom is accounts getting hacked. The cause is two-fold; poor security practices on the part of players (OP mentioned adding an authenticator to his wife's account after getting hacked; should have done that before getting hacked) and poor anti-hacking measures on the part of game developers.
Treat the cause rather than the symptoms and then there's no need for 24/7 GMs restoring hacked accounts on a Sunday. Guild Wars 3 perhaps 00:52, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
